I simply cannot think of a better way to start the month of March than using the words of Jon Bon Jovi. This 54-year old infamous rock star, born on the 2nd of MARCH, recently said: “Don’t get too comfortable with who you are at any given time – you may miss the opportunity to become who you want to be.”

Getting too comfortable is indeed often exactly the culprit holding us back from realising our dreams. Well, one thing is sure, the last few weeks in Ermelo have definitely been viciously uncomfortable, and hats off to everyone who still came to class, refusing to be put off by the cold and damp and dark. You proved that one can indeed stay powerful without power☺.

Here are a few very important things to take note of: Please ask for assistance if you are not sure how to make your workouts at the studio help you earn valuable Discovery Vitality or Momentum Multiply points.

Our YEAR LONG CHALLENGE is well underway, but please please please remember – You are responsible to make an appointment for a fitness assessment EACH MONTH. In order to win this challenge, there has to be record of an assessment every month! That is the only requirement. No entry fee is paid, but I work to a very tight schedule and if you forget your appointment or cancel at the last minute you have to pay for that assessment. If you've missed out on this challenge and still want to enter, you have one last chance to join, but only till the 15th of March. Also remember that only your very first assessment is free of charge – after that it is R50 per assessment. I am already stunned by everyone`s commitment and determination – 2017 is definitely not going to let us down!

This month the lucky winners of an exercise month free of charge are Michelle van Rooyen and Celiwe Maseko. Hope you treat yourself on something special with the few extra bucks to spare! We are proud of Elsje who completed her Rebound Instructor course successfully, and I really can`t stop thanking both Elsje and Elanza, for being such dedicated and enthusiastic members of our team of instructors.

We are extremely excited about the Booty Barre classes which are filled to the brim and I am looking forward to the formal Instructor Training in Johannesburg on the 25th and 26th of March. If you would like to be part of these classes, you can still contact me. Although these classes are already fully booked, I`ll gladly add your name to the waiting list and let you know as soon as there are cancellations! Just a reminder that these classes are R20 per class when you pay in advance for the classes of the month, and R50 per class when you pay as you go. Then of course, we are still eagerly counting the weeks until the arrival of our Powerpump bars and know that they will spice up the strength training part of our program even further.

You have the opportunity of attending a free Pilates class on a Thursday morning at 5 am. You would be surprised at all the benefits this core-focused wokout.
