
STRETCH AND TONE
Don`t be misled by the name of this class, for it surely isn`t a class where you just lie on your back stretching your hamstrings. This class is specifically for the Older you. It`s a group exercise class designed to help seniors and older adults maintain their cardiovascular health, strength and flexibility. Whether you’re a veteran gym member or a newcomer, we welcome you to come enjoy the benefits of working out in a group. Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. We work out with hand-weights, elastic tubing with handles and balls, and a chair as well as the barre are used for seated or standing support.
Our older members also have the advantage of an added Pilates class on a Thursday morning at a special tariff. This class is designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation help promote stress reduction and mental clarity. Currently the ladies in this class are between 64 and 80 years of age and they love every minute!
